01.03.08 | TRANSFIRST Appoints Don Krasnosky as COO
DALLAS (January 3, 2008) — TRANSFIRST, a leading provider of credit card processing services and payment enabling technologies, announced the appointment of Don Krasnosky as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of TRANSFIRST LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of TRANSFIRST Holdings Inc.
Krasnosky joined TRANSFIRST in June 2005 as president of the company's Shared Services Division, a role he will continue even as he takes on these new responsibilities. As COO, he will focus on identifying and implementing key technologies and processes to maximize performance for TRANSFIRST's customers. Additionally, he will oversee the company's efforts to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiencies between TRANSFIRST's core business units. Krasnosky will take on three new functions as COO – corporate retention, creation of a shared sales support function, and responsibility for TRANSFIRST's Direct Merchant portfolio.
"We at TRANSFIRST are extremely lucky to have Don on our team. Recent projects he has managed, such as working with Discover as part of their new Merchant Acquiring Program and streamlining TRANSFIRST's operations nationwide, have positioned him to successfully take over this role," said John Shlonsky, president of TRANSFIRST. "Having an executive with his operational background and industry knowledge bundled with a customer and sales focus is extremely rare. These strengths lend well to our strategy of collaborating with our merchants to achieve their long-term growth with transaction processing and identify and offer solutions for any and all of our clients' business needs."
Krasnosky has more than 18 years experience in the credit card and payments industry serving as a payment systems consultant for companies such as MasterCard and 7-Eleven prior to joining TRANSFIRST. In this consultative role, he specialized in payment-related products and services including credit/debit and stored value products, transaction processing and electronic funds transfer. He was also responsible for overseeing the back-office operational functions such as merchant implementation, chargeback processing, help desk processes and credit and debit card reconciliation.
"My objective is to help TRANSFIRST achieve our goals of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and merchant retention and work on our internal processes such as training and sales support," said Krasnosky. "I look forward to evolving our innovative technologies, allowing TRANSFIRST to better serve our merchants and partners."
His extensive background also includes experience as product manager of settlement and banking for SPS Payment Systems and accounting and financial development for Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He has also served as the senior director of portfolio conversions and as group manager of strategic planning and acquisitions for Paymentech. In 1999, he joined Priceline WebHouse Club, the division of Priceline that specialized in selling gasoline and groceries via the Internet.
A former intelligence specialist with the United States Army, Krasnosky graduated Cum Laude with a concentration in Finance from the University of Miami. Based in TRANSFIRST's Louisville office, Don Krasnosky can be reached at 303-482-8790 or dkrasnosky@transfirst.com.
